Recommended it is seriously a blast to play. This game coupled with Dirt Rally 2.0s Rally cross and car selection makes for a Rally duo that will satisfy for a very long time. The only thing I really wish this game had, and I realize it's a WRC game, is a larger selection of cars but honestly. The testing area in all it's freeroam glory is also a very nice touch. All the points now going into reliability skills. I am facing some difficulties in managing damage accumulation, Power stages becomes really hard cause i arrive with a very worn car. The career mode is super in depth and intuitive and adds a whole new level of gameplay. At medium difficulty i won both Monte (third in the Power stage) and Sweden (won also the Power stage). The graphics might not be as polished as Dirt Rally 2.0 in some aspects but who really has time to look at bushes when you're flying downNarrow path at 100+ mph. Definitely the best in its class at the moment. The stage and environment design is top notch and feels almost 1:1 scale. Compared to real tarmac stages I've run, I can't see it feeling any better in a video game. Anyways, The tarmac simulation in WRC 8 is outstanding. I'm running this with the graphics as high as possible at 4k on a Rywith a GTX 1080ti while locked in at 60fps easy. I'm running this with the graphics as high as possible Id like to start off with that this game runs super smooth and is optimized very well. Although your fuel tank can’t be upgraded, you can improve your bike’s fuel efficiency by upgrading its engine (see our upgrade guide for more details).Superbikes have a 16. Hard to explain and even hard to figure out, but this mirrors my personal impression after changing these settings.Id like to start off with that this game runs super smooth and is optimized very well. Altering your fuel load is the single biggest set-up change you can make in TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3. But this is not exactly the case, at least not in a linear way! For some reson it causes the steering to be stretched back in a exponential way - at least you have far less steering input the first 5mm of the stick than on the last 5mm and far less input than without these settings at all! With the exemplaric numbers is used above, it would be 5mm - with no steering the first 5mm and all the steering at the other 5mm.īy rescaling it i first thought it would stretch all the steering of the car bsck to all the 10mm movement ability of the controller again. There are shortcomings, of course - the presentation is lacking in some places, and the stages suffer from some inconsistency when it comes to production values, while there's also the concern of. Thus a small indicated movement of your thumb (lets say 1/3 cm to the right, which is about one third of it's overall movement) means that your car directly turns a third of it's overall steering (lets say the driver turns the wheel by 270° just by moving the thumbstick 3,333 cm).įor sure, thats impossible to master in fast races.īy taking half of the controller's steering ability (deadzone 50) you compress all the cars steering to just a half of the controllers movement possibility - as you know, for sure. Usually you have a linear relation between your Thumbstick input and the steering of your car. "Hey dude, i had the same problem at the beginning - then i finally got the meaning of the "saturation" and the "rescale" function and found a solution which works far better to me! It can be punishing at times, perhaps overly so, but it’s hard not to be impressed by the game’s authenticity. Please give it a like if it helps you out a little, too ) Bringing back all of the modes from last year’s WRC 9, including the unique co-driver mode, while adding a new Anniversary Mode and some welcome new features, WRC 10 is the biggest entry in the series yet. I'm far too lazy to write down the settings and the description again, so i hope you fon't mind when i just "copy/paste" my former reply to that guy's "Controller issue" posting. In WRC 10 i tried the same settings which already helped me (and others) out in WRC 9 - with exactly the same positive result. I found driving in WRC 8 difficult at first, and it was a little frustrating, but then I realized that it really is worthy of being called a simulation. I'm a controller driver, too and told him the nessessary settings within the game settings in order to make the game "steerable" with controllers. Some time ago i commented a guy who had issues to drive WRC 9 with the PS4 Controller.
